Gastronomic Week brings mountain flavors, music and poetry to Messines

Messines_01The 11th Gastronomic Week of São Bartolomeu de Messines, which takes place from the 1st to the 8th of December, will once again feature snacks and tastes from the mountains, with space for music, theater and even poetry.

The participating restaurants are Churrasqueira Fatinha, Tapas.com.Vinho, Café Académico, O Caixeiro, João de Deus, Ti Raquel, O Marreiros, O Petisco, O Jakaré and Papaki.

This event opens on December 1st, at 18 pm, in the Sports Pavilion of the Casa do Povo of São Bartolomeu de Messines, where the most emblematic dishes made by participating restaurants will be presented, as well as sweets and regional products.

Winemakers from the county and region will also be present. Tickets for this session can be collected at the Parish Council, Casa do Povo de Messines and participating restaurants.

Throughout the week, the animation will be in charge of Marco António and the Rancho Folclórico de Messines.

This event has the support of the Municipality of Silves, Algarve Tourism, House of the People of Messines and the Algarve Wine Route.
