The Loulé Chamber will once again award a Theater Support Grant, in 2017, aimed at amateur and/or professional theater groups in the municipality that have legal personality. Applications for this assistance can be submitted until the 31st of December.
Applicant groups must submit proposals for theater performances that have never been presented. The winners will have to make three performances, within the scope of the Scenarios – Theater Exhibition, promoted by the Loulé Chamber, which will start in March 2017.
According to the Municipality of Loulé, the proposals will have to comply with several rules, namely «taking into account the suitability of the pieces to the most varied audiences, the diversity of the Municipality, the dimensions and technical equipment of the stages, the duration of the show (maximum 90 minutes), the time for assembly and disassembly of the show, as well as the use of Portuguese as the dominant language in the text of the play».
Applications must be sent to the Division of Culture, Libraries and Archives of the Chamber of Loulé, Rua Vice-Almirante Cândido dos Reis, nº 36, 8100 Loulé. "Each application must contain technical data of the pieces, namely the title of the piece, name of the director, synopsis, duration, number of intervening elements and respective names, among others", concluded the Chamber of Loulé.
