Almancil - SeizureMore than 200 stolen objects were recovered yesterday, from a house in Almancil, by soldiers from the GNR's Loulé Criminal Investigation Center. According to Guarda, the material is "resulting from thefts from houses carried out recently in Almancil, Loulé and Quarteira".

In the operation, the GNR seized 27 mobile phones, 22 watches, a laptop, an LCD, seven external disks, three cameras, three binoculars, a precision scale, a coffee machine, a DVD player, a portable game console, dozens of jewelry (wires, rings, bracelets ), glasses, bags, backpacks and lighters.

Several tools associated with the commission of crimes were also seized.

The two suspects, aged 21 and 28, were constituted defendants and subject to a term of identity and residence, and are also indicted for the crime of holding a prohibited weapon, since a saber and an extendable baton were also apprehended. This action had the support of military personnel from the Intervention Detachment of Faro.

"Individuals are suspected of being the perpetrators of numerous thefts from registered homes in the municipality of Loulé, and steps are currently being taken to identify the legitimate owners of part of the recovered objects"

The GNR therefore appeals for potential victims to contact the Loulé Territorial Detachment on the number 289 410 490.
