Speed Hunting Etic Algarve 2016_1Algarve companies (and beyond) went to talent hunt at ETIC_Algarve, last Saturday. The 2nd edition of the Speed Hunting event of the Algarve's School of Technologies, Innovation and Creation attracted representatives from 27 companies to the Municipal Market of Faro, who went to know what about fifty students and former students of ETIC have to offer.

for a day of seduction, there was space to show works and projects from different areas, namely Animation & Videogames, Design, Photography, Sound & Music, Video and Web & Communication. The videogames area ended up standing out, as it attracted three companies based in Lisbon, which made their presence felt via skype.

For the participating companies, this event served as a «unique opportunity to meet not only new people, but also future professionals, thus allowing them to discover emerging talents in their respective areas», according to ETIC_Algarve.

The students enjoyed a moment to «launch their career after their training period at ETIC_Algarve, being for some the first opportunity to contact companies that work on a daily basis in their training areas».

Speed Hunting Etic Algarve 2016_2For other students «it was the networking and establishing contacts for the future that brought them to the event, with a view to a possible internship or even a professional experience in their training areas».

«The paradigmatic example of what we intend to provide with the organization of Speed Hunting is that of Liliana Martins, a former student of the Web Design course, and who participated in the 1st edition while seductive and that in this edition he was representing a company, putting himself, therefore, in the role of seduced», according to ETIC_Algarve.

«Speed Hunting, in its genesis, is an event that wants to be dominated by students and their talent, so they will be the ones who should take stock of what was this year's edition. But regardless of this balance, we can give a guarantee: this is an event that we insist on reorganizing, not only because we trust in the competence and seriousness of our work, but also because the talent of our students demands it», added Nuno Ribeiro , principal of the school based in the Market of Faro.
