D. Sancho and Al-Mutamid are the two protagonists of an urban art mural, located in the space of an old smokehouse, in front of the Silves Library, which was completed yesterday, October 19th.
This work, carried out by Hélder José, known as Bamby, with the help of Filipe Gusmão, from Style Spectrum and commissioned by the Municipality of Silves, «brings to this noble space in the city of two figures from the city's history, seeking to enhance the heritage, making it known and, at the same time, embellishing the square that bears the name of the Poet King», says the Câmara de Silves.
«This work is one of the bets of the current executive», explains Rosa Palma, president of the municipality, who stresses that «it is our desire to bring more color and more pieces of urban art to Silves, so that we can all have greater respect for the space where we live and circulate».
