The Castro Marim Chamber has already carried out the necessary works at the Azinhal Health Extension, closed since 2013, and waits for the Regional Health Administration honor the commitment you made and reopen this health facility "soon", something they are confident will happen.
The city of Castro invested around 30 thousand euros in the rehabilitation of this health unit, to carry out the works required by ARS do Algarve. The intervention consisted of "improving accessibility conditions for people with limited mobility and, in general, improving facilities, both at a technical, functional and aesthetic level," according to the municipality.
The mayor of Castro Marim Francisco Amaral met with those responsible for the ARS last week and believes that the reopening will happen soon.
«Since the municipality carried out the agreed works, we can only assume that the leaders of ACES do Sotavento and ARS Algarve will honor the commitments made. The reopening will be an act of justice for a population already so ostracized and in need of health care», considered the mayor, who is also a doctor.
