They received manuals and activity notebooks, but also material kits that include pads, dossiers, covers, notebooks, micas, tissue or gloss paper, erasers, pencils, ballpoint pens, colored pencils, felt pens, ruler, square, scissors or compass, among others.
The Municipality of Olhão is already distributing the books and school material that it has decided to offer to all students in the 1st cycle of Basic Education in the municipality's public schools since 5 September and will continue to do so until next Monday.
The municipality is delivering the delivery on different days, at the headquarters of the various School Groups in the municipality. The kit began to be distributed last Monday, at Escola EB 2,3 Dr. João Lúcio. On Tuesday, it was the turn of the EB 2,3 Dr. António João Eusébio School, followed on Wednesday by the EB 1 School in Largo da Feira and, on Thursday, the EB 2,3 João da Rosa School.
Today, the material will be delivered to students from the Dr. José Carlos da Maia grouping, at EB 2,3 with the same name. On Monday, the delivery takes place at Escola EB 2,3 Professora Paula Nogueira.
To collect the material, guardians must go to the schools in the respective grouping between 10:00 am and 19:00 pm, accompanied by their identification document and that of the student.
The mayor of Olhão has been monitoring the distribution of the kits, who wanted to be present "at this crucial moment for the families of Olhão".
"Betting on education is a priority for this executive", assured António Pina, who wants the investment of 150 thousand euros made by the municipality "to promote the democratization of education, guaranteeing the right to a fair and effective equality of opportunities in school success , especially at the earliest levels of schooling, where universal and generally free education must be ensured, in accordance with our Constitution».
