roundabout psd_destroyed_1The PSD/JSD roundabout, in Portimão, was once again vandalized this morning, by strangers who destroyed the two logos placed one on each side of the space.

Helder Renato Rodrigues, president of the PSD's Portimão Municipality, told the Sul Informação that, as happened about a week ago, when the first vandalization took place, "we're going to file a complaint again with the PSP" and still "rremove the material and build the logos again».

Located in V7/Três Bicos, this was one of the nine roundabouts throughout the municipality of Portimão to be adopted by companies and other entities, in an original initiative of the Portimonense City Council, which thus provided, for a year, the maintenance of the green spaces located in these roundabouts, with the counterpart of the “godfathers” being able to promote their brands there, in a discreet manner.

A PSD militant published this morning, in a Facebook group from Portimo, photographs of the destroyed party logos and an ironic comment: “It is grateful that the next time someone wants a Social Democratic Party logo, they request it, the party will have everything the pleasure in providing you. It is not necessary to damage a roundabout that we try to keep beautiful and tidy for the people of Portimonenses and for those who visit us, to take part of it».

On the 29th, when the PSD/JSD roundabout was vandalized for the first time, Filipe Vital, president of the Municipality of the PS of Portimão, expressed his solidarity, in a post published on its Facebook page: “I want, on behalf of the Socialist Party, to demonstrate my solidarity with the PSD and vehemently condemn this type of action. In a mature democracy these acts are absolutely inadmissible».
