Silves goes back in time, in another edition of the Medieval Fair, from the 12th to the 21st of August. This year, the space will be bigger: Al'Mutamid Square is part of the enclosure, which did not happen before. There is also room for an “unprecedented show”, in addition to the traditional street animations and medieval tournaments.
Rosa Palma, mayor of Silves, confessed, in an interview with FM STREET, expectant in view of the possibility of this year the Medieval Fair «receiving more visitors». And he added: «We were considered the second largest medieval fair in the country. Many people come to the Fair, love it and recommend it to friends».
It was this growth of the event that made it necessary to expand the space for the event. This new perimeter allows "greater dynamics for people to live together and recreate that time," guaranteed the mayor.
Pedro Garcia, responsible for the animation area of the municipality of Silves, was also present at the RUA FM interview about the Medieval Fair of Silves. The area you are in charge of makes you have an essential role in this event. And he promised… several surprises. "This year, as in others, we are always trying to increase the levels of quality, ensuring that all the artists who have accompanied us over the years are always presenting new proposals, which capture the attention of those who visit us", he said.
Pedro Garcia did not want to lift the veil on what would be, but guaranteed that, this year, the event will have "an unprecedented spectacle, created especially for the Medieval Fair and for the Castle of Silves area".
