Thus, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, the session will take place at the Parish Council of São Marcos da Serra, municipality of Silves, while in the afternoon, between 16:00 pm and 17:30 pm, it will be at the Salão Nobre dos Paços do Concelho in Monchique.

Other similar initiatives will follow in Tavira (11:00 am to 12:30 pm) and Loulé (16:00 pm to 17:30 pm), on the 8th, Aljezur (11:00 am to 12:30 pm) and Vila do Bispo (16:00 pm to 17:30 pm), on June 14th, and finally Castro Marim (11:00 am to 12:30 pm) and Alcoutim (16:00 pm to 17:30 pm), on the 15th.

The project "Internationalize + Algarve», promoted by NERA – Business Association of the Algarve Region and by the University of Algarve, aims to «enhance the success of the internationalization of SMEs located in the low-density territories of the Algarve», especially in the sectors of tourism and leisure, sea and agrifood, to "reinforce the international reputation of the Algarve brand".

In this sense, within the scope of this project, an assessment of the export potential of the companies involved will be carried out and the emergence of collective initiatives of inter-business cooperation will be encouraged for the internationalization of goods and services produced in the region.

The promoters explain that the project also intends to «strengthen the international notoriety of the Algarve brand», as well as, in the tourism sector, «strengthen the creation of a critical mass for a joint promotion of complementary or developing products that allow the alleviation of seasonality, thus contributing to a more qualified, innovative and cohesive Algarve, with development supported by the increased competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized companies and the creation of wealth and qualified jobs».

The project, which had its launch and opening session on the 28th of April, now enters the operationalization phase with its presentation to the Municipalities, Parishes, Companies and Local Development Associations of the territories covered, through a decentralized operation by the Municipalities, to sensitize companies to Internationalization and identify companies with internationalization potential. It is in this scope that the sessions scheduled for this month of June fit.
