The “Clínica de S. Gonçalo – Odemira”, which belongs to the São Gonçalo de Lagos Hospital network (HSGL), will be inaugurated tomorrow, July 1, in that village on the Alentejo coast.
This is a «reference health unit» in the Southwest of Alentejo, which allows the population to have better and easier access to specialist consultations, clinical analyzes and various medical exams.
The aim of this new clinic is to "increase the quality and diversity of health services in the Alentejo region, more specifically in the Odemira area," adds HSGL.
The new unit in Odemira is the second clinic in operation in the Hospital São Gonçalo de Lagos network, after the opening of the “Clínica de S. Gonçalo – São Teotónio” last December.
The clinic has an agreement with several health insurances and an agreement with the National Health Service to carry out clinical analyses,
The services that will be offered to users from the 1st of July are Specialty Appointments, Exams, Electrocardiogram, Ultrasound, Nursing Service, and Clinical Analysis.
For the inauguration of the “Clínica de S. Gonçalo – Odemira”, which will take place at 16 pm, the Executives of the Municipal Council and the Parish Council, the Coordination of Primary Health Care of Odemira, the Santa Casa Misericórdia Ombudsman, the president are invited of the Voluntary Firemen of Odemira, the president of the Association of Irrigants of Mira, owners of local pharmacies, the coordination of Municipal Swimming Pools and representatives of companies with relevance to the region.
