Hence, Odiana, which joined these sessions promoted by NERA and the University of Algarve, considered that the «balance is positive».

Castro Marim, at Mercado Municipal/Posto Turismo, and Alcoutim, at Salão Nobre do Município, received sessions aimed at the business fabric of both low-density municipalities. It was the public session for the presentation of the «Internationalize + Algarve» project NERA and UAlg to companies. A session that also counted with the collaboration of Odiana, with the presentation of the «Choose our Food» project.

In total, there were about three dozen entrepreneurs who questioned, debated and confirmed their interest in participating in projects that promote and have as their ultimate goal the internationalization and qualification of companies. Companies mainly linked to the hotel industry, tourist entertainment and the agri-food sector.

This session showcased projects that aim to attenuate territorial asymmetries and instigated the active participation of entrepreneurs in order to integrate market penetration strategies adapted to each company. The next step involves individual meetings with each entrepreneur and with the appropriate consultants.

The session was stamped by NERA and the University of Algarve, with the aim of enhance the success of the internationalization of SMEs located in the low-density territories of the Algarve. It is a project that aims to reinforce the reputation of the Algarve brand for the internationalization of goods and services produced in the region.

Odiana participated in this session with the presentation of the “Choose our Food” project, which focuses on the qualification of companies in the agri-food sector in the low density of the Lower Guadiana. The aim is to maximize regional agrifood products, as well as strengthen business cooperation in the territory.

This project arose through the Notice of Opening of Application No. ALG-53-2015-03, launched within the scope of the SIAC for the presentation of applications in the Qualification - Low Density typology, under the investment priority 3.3 of PO CRESC ALGARVE 2020, which took place between July 1 and September 30, 2015.
