Algarve wines shine at the Sangue na Guelra festival in Lisbon

banner_exp5_FThe international food festival Blood on the Guts – Blood n'Guts returns for the 4th edition, with an evening exclusively dedicated to Algarve wines, with the participation of the Algarve Wine Commission, which takes some of the region's best wines to the event.

Organized by Amuse Bouche, from the Algarve, Ana Músico and Paulo Barata, the initiative will take place in Lisbon on the coming 22nd, 23rd (Restaurant 1300 Taberna) and 24th May (Restaurant Cais da Pedra).

In three unique dinners - created by young people chefs e head chefs on the rise, from the best restaurants in the world – Sangue na Guelra highlights national producers and products, from fish and seafood from the coast, to vegetables, aromatic herbs, bread, flowers and wines… And, this year, the Wines from the Algarve will be the protagonists on the night of the 23rd of May, which has a cast of top cooks.

Another highlight is the Portuguese João Viegas, from the São Gabriel restaurant, also from the Algarve, in Almancil.

the right arm of the Head Leonel Pereira is one of the program's headliners and will be present at the event alongside great names in the world's gastronomy on the same day as the region's wines.

In addition to the wines that will accompany dinner, this evening's welcome sparkling wine is also an Algarvean creation.

And because the night is special, the wine service will be in charge of the sommelier João Chambel, from Garrafeira Estado D'Alma, considered the «Sleeper of the Year» by Wine magazine.

Much more than three dinners, with talented and amazing cooks, the blood in the gill it is an event, a space for sharing ideas, trends and knowledge.
