journalism“Rigor Informativo: the principles and legal limits to journalistic content” is the title of the seminar that will take place next Thursday, the 12th, at 14:30 pm, at the José Saramago Amphitheater (0.5), at the Pedagogical Complex of Campus da Penha, in Faro.

According to the University of Algarve, this seminar led by Vanda Ferreira, from the Department of Analysis of Media of the Regulatory Authority for the Media (ERC), «it seeks to clarify the rights and duties of television operators and viewers, by providing free and accurate information».

In the initiative, «the legal framework and regulation of those values ​​by the ERC will be presented, through some examples of informative pieces and the respective analysis of compliance with rigor and exemption», reveals UAlg.

The objective of this action, which takes place at UAlg within the scope of the “Discourses of the Media” curricular unit of the Communication Sciences course, «is to train more aware and participative viewers».

The seminar is open to all interested parties, who are also invited to the debate that will follow.
