More than 350 children will participate tomorrow, at the Centro de Ciência Viva de Lagos, in the action “Socks with Science – A World at Your Feet”. In this initiative, which will take place in all Ciência Viva Centers in the country, to commemorate Children's Day, young scientists from the first cycle, wearing only socks, will collect samples and analyze them through the binocular magnifying glass of the lacobrigense centre.
«Wearing only Ciência Viva socks and equipped with tweezers and their own containers, the 1st Cycle children will be challenged to explore our Garden of Discoveries filled with plants, animals, rocks and even fossils they had never noticed. All the collected objects will be analyzed with the binocular magnifying glass of our Resource Center», explains the Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos.
«This initiative celebrates the experimental teaching of Sciences that, precisely 20 years ago, marked the beginning of the activity of Ciência Viva – National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture which, over these two decades, has brought scientists and audiences of all ages closer together. », adds the Center.
Children up to 10 years old who want to participate in this initiative can do so and entry is free.
