A collision between a heavy goods vehicle and a bus, on the EN 266, which connects Monchique and Portimão, caused an injury and restricted traffic at the site, in the Rasmalho area. The collision happened around 14:30 pm.
According to a source from the CDOS, the only one injured in the accident had to be released from prison by firefighters. O Sul Informação he found that the victim was the driver of the lorry, which crashed into the back of a Fleet Blue bus, when it would have been parked on the side of the road, next to a stop.
Most passengers were in the front of the bus, which will have prevented the accident from having more serious consequences.
In addition to the Firefighters of Portimão, INEM, GNR and the road concessionaire, Rotas do Algarve Litoral were also present at the site.
