bluefin tunaa bluefin tuna (thunnus thynnus) fresh weighing more than 100 kilograms, to be chopped up live, the presence of a dozen chefs participating in the Algarve Chefs Week and the promotion of the social project Refood, are the big news at the Makro Horeca Hotel and Restaurant Fair, which opens on the 28th of April, at 11:00 am, at the Makro Store in Albufeira.

After having passed through the Center and North region of the country, the Makro Horeca Fair is now taking place in the South, from April 28th to 30th, at the Albufeira store.

In its 3rd edition, the Fair reflects the strategy adopted by Makro Portugal, focused on the Horeca channel, «intending to offer, through partner suppliers, a display of differentiating and innovative products, along with the latest trends in the sector, which translate into solutions multi and single category, themed kitchens and/or dedicated to a certain key product, aimed at the main areas of the channel».

The Makro Horeca Hotel and Restaurant Fair is, according to the company, «the launching pad for new products and exclusive and innovative solutions in the food sector».

During the event, the most varied tastings, product promotions, workshops promoted by partner suppliers, trainings, demonstrations, with special emphasis on regional products, as well as many other dynamics that will make this fair a reference in the southern region.

In parallel, the Fair will have the support of the 12 chefs da Algarve Chefs Week and also promote Refood, to which they contribute.

The Hotel and Tourism Schools of Faro and Portimão, the University of Algarve and the Algarve Cuisine Academy will be present in order to present their demonstration techniques and various showcookings, open to all guests, throughout the days of the fair.
