«As Aparências Desenganam» is the new play by the theater group Per-Versus that has been on stage, since last Friday, March 18, on the stage of the ABC club “Os Espichenses” in Espiche, municipality of Lagos. The comedy will run until the end of May, every Friday and Saturday at 21 pm and Sunday at 30 pm.
In this play, «filled with action, sensuality and eroticism», two friends with different sex lives come together in the living room of Babá, a completely insatiable and sexually frustrated young upper-class woman. Her husband Josefo Dias is sexually incapable and, in an attempt to solve his problem, Nanny uses all kinds of drugs to help him.
The friend Pitá is a real bohemian, who finds her livelihood in parties and romantic and sexual relationships.
Between vents and secrets, the friends talk about shameless female pleasures, «where they lead us to imagine extraordinary stories of hilarious adventures», says the group PerVersus.
In one of her warm conversations with women, Bibá sees awake the wild desire to turn her life around, "which will trigger some actions that will shake her sexual monotony and reveal some of her most intimate secrets."
On the other hand, the renowned businessman and candidate for political office, Josefo lives a double life. Frustrated by having to ingest the drugs that his wife finds to try to solve his “failure”, to feel better, he takes a lover. Confusion sets in when Nanny decides to put another man in her bed to make her husband jealous.
The show, despite being on stage in Lagos, «will soon go on an excursion to the municipalities of Moura, Albufeira and Tavira», says Bruno Vieira, spokesperson for the group, to the Sul Informação.
This play once again makes a difference and «proves that the Per-Versus Theater group was born to be irreverent, thus leaving its mark in fun, original, controversial, hilarious comedy plays and always with a touch of criticism and a dash of daring», adds the theater group.
Choreographed by Célia Campoa, the cast comprises Rosa Roxo, Tiago Fialho, Dora Reis, Raquel Roxo, Elsa Marques and Luís Ferreira.
