Silves will receive the second edition of the Gastronomy, Crafts and Regional Products Fair “Segredos da Terra” this weekend, between Friday and Sunday. The event takes place at Fissul and is part of the 11th Land Algarve meeting.
“Segredos da Terra” is a fair where you can find “typical Algarve products, such as sweets, liqueurs, wines, dried fruits or handicrafts produced either in the municipality of Silves or in other parts of the Algarve region”, explains the Chamber of Silves, who supports the event.
In addition to a lecture on the “Mediterranean Diet”, presented by Otília Eusébio, with tasting, the fair has musical moments and a sporting activity promoted by the Chamber, the march of lovers.
It is open to the public from 16:00 pm on the 12th, Friday, and ends at 18:00 pm on the 14th, Sunday.
Admission is free and the program is available on the Silves Chamber website.
The meeting also includes an exhibition of Land Rover vehicles and a “4×4 Land Algarve Tour”, which takes place on Saturday, the 13th, at 9:30 am.
This tour, as the organizers of the event explains, has as its main objective "to show the potential of the region as well as to draw attention to good environmental practices". It is promoted by Xelb Land, Land Mania and A Malta dos Jepes, with registration taking place at the meeting's secretariat.
«This is the largest non-profit association event held in the south of the country, attracting a large number of enthusiasts and participants, both national and foreign», concludes the municipality.
