António Carlos Laranjo da Silva submitted, on February 10, his candidacy for president of the Board of Directors of the Southern Region of the Ordem dos Engenheiros (OE), with João Antunes Bártolo as agent.
The Board of Directors of the Southern Region also has as candidates the engineers Jorge Domingues Grade Mendes (vice president), Maria Helena Kol de Carvalho Santos Almeida de Melo Rodrigues (secretary), Arnaldo Lobo Moreira Pêgo (treasurer), Maria Filomena de Jesus Ferreira ( member), Arménio Figueiredo (member) and Gil Manuel Esperança Manana (member).
In accordance with the Statute and Regulations, this list presents candidates for the Board of Directors, Board of the Regional Assembly, Regional College Councils and District Delegations.
On the same occasion, separate lists of candidates for the Disciplinary Board, headed by Bernardo Manuel Palma Mira Delgado, and to the Supervisory Board, headed by Teresa Maria de Vasconcelos Lima Nogueira Simões Cavalheiro, were handed over by the respective representatives.
Applications for president of the Southern Region of the OE may be submitted until February 22, this being the only application so far.
So far, there is also only one candidacy for President of the Ordem dos Engenheiros, headed by Joaquim Manuel Veloso Poças Martins.
The electoral act for the 2016/2019 mandate will take place on April 21st.
