twigThe PSD of Portimão wants to know what response the City Council gave to the residents of Rasmalho, who delivered a letter and undersigned to the municipality about the lack of a sewage system in that locality of the municipality and parish of Portimão.

The social democrats from Portimão, who visited Rasmalho, where they spoke with several residents, also want to know when the «intervention of the Municipality of Portimão, via EMARP, in the increase of the Municipal Sewage Network, including the locality of Rasmalho» will take place. and whether the local authority “made any application to Community Funds for the realization of this or other work of the kind in the Municipality”.

Helder Renato Rodrigues, president of the PSD/Portimão, told the Sul Informação that this party referred these and other issues to the City Council, under the Statute of the Right of Opposition, requesting "a set of information that may be relevant to the resolution of this situation".

This party leader highlighted the contradiction of the lack of a sewer system in Rasmalho, when, very close to the village, there is a collector from the Águas do Algarve company, «existing and operating in that locality» and which «transports domestic wastewater from other places , but not of this and of residences that are part of this area of the Municipality».

The PSD adds that “only the connection [to the collection pipe] of municipal wastewater collectors will be authorized, and that all of these are not allowed to be connected to the “on-high” drainage network, owned by Águas do Algarve, and that all of these connections must be submitted for prior approval by that company'.

On the other hand, these future connections «should be requested by submitting a Descriptive and Justification Report, including plans at the scale of the projects and respective details (scale 1:20 or 1:50), including topographic survey of the area and corresponding profile with dimensions connection, including the interceptor to be connected and the existing Águas do Algarve box, in digital and paper format».

For this reason, the council of social democrats is also questioning the Portimão Town Council, or the municipal company EMARP, on «whether it has already prepared or requested via outsourcing the necessary projects for the Sanitation Network of Rasmalho, in compliance with the request made by Águas do Algarve ».
