Portimonense started on the right foot in the second round of the II League with a hard-fought victory over Académico de Viseu, played in the Beira territory.

The only goal of the match was scored over the 90s, at a time when both teams were reduced to ten elements.

André Ferreira decided the game, for the Algarve, in the 87th minute, assisted by Fabrício. But the game had already had a history, in this case, disciplinary.

First, it was André Carvalhas who went early to the locker room, accumulating the second yellow card, in the 65th minute. The Portimonense player had been reprimanded, for the first time, in the 49th minute.

Luckily for the Algarve team, Fábio Martins managed to be even faster, seeing two yellow cards in the game. The Viseu player saw the first yellow card in the 61st minute and in the 69th minute was being sent off for accumulation of yellow cards. Thus, the home team's numerical advantage didn't even last 5 minutes.

With this victory, the 3rd consecutive for the II League, which joins the one achieved for the League Cup, Portimonense rose to the 4th position of the championship, joining Feirense with 42 points, but in condition, as their opponents directs only take the field tomorrow, Sunday.
