The walls of the Algoz stop, on the Algarve Line, were cleaned yesterday by maintenance teams from Infraestruturas de Portugal.
The teams, as revealed by a company spokesperson, "on the day of yesterday carried out the cleaning/repainting of the walls of the stop in Algoz, which had been the target of regrettable acts of vandalism."
Neo-Nazi messages inscribed on the walls were denounced on Wednesday, January 27, by the secretariat of the District Coordinator of Faro and by the Silves nucleus of the Left Block, and emerged on the International Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust, which marks the 71 years since the liberation, by Soviet troops, at the end of World War II, from the extermination camps of the Jewish people.
That same day, contacted by Sul Informação, the company responsible for the railway infrastructure announced that the following day, “as soon as possible”, the cleaning would be carried out, which happened.
