Portimonense did not get more than a null in the trip to Mafra, to face the local team, in a game counting for the II League championship. The Algarvians were the team that created the most opportunities and even put the ball in goal, but the goal was invalidated.

The “false alarm” for Portimonense happened in the first dangerous attack of the visitors. At 5 minutes of play, Fidelis introduced the ball into the goal, after a shot by Pires, but the referee considered that it was offside.

From there, until the end of the first half, both teams created other chances to score. The Mafra Leo Tomé player even scared the Portimão team, putting a ball on the crossbar, with a powerful shot.

In the second half, Portimonense's forwards continued to give work to Mafra Mory Diaw's goalkeeper, but without being able to undo the goal.

A draw that leaves Portimonense in sixth place, with 43 points. The Algarvians run the risk of being six points behind the second placed, if Desportivo de Chaves beat Oriental this afternoon, complicating the accounts of the promotion to the I League.
