The Omiri will perform, in Santo Estêvão, at Casa do Povo, this Saturday, in what is the second concert of the Autumnalities. The show is scheduled for 22:00.
According to the House of the People of St. Stephen, «omiri is one of the most original projects for the reinvention of Portuguese traditional music. To reinvent tradition, there's nothing better than bringing the true players of our culture to the show itself: musicians and sounds from all over the country playing and singing as if they were part of the same universe. Not in flesh and blood but in sound and image, with collections transformed and manipulated in real time, serving as the basis for Vasco Ribeiro Casais' composition and musical improvisation».
The themes played will invite you to dance, «according to the rhythm and balance of traditional dances and beyond (Repasseados, Drum'n'bass, Malhões, Viras, Break Beat, Corridinhos…)».
In addition to Omiri, Outonalidades will also take to Santo Estêvão Edu Miranda, Charanga and João Gentil w/ Luanda Cozetti, with Pedro Jóia being the first to act in the 2015 cycle.
