Students from the Manuel Teixeira Gomes School Group, from Portimão, took their musical instruments to school, along with books and notebooks, last Thursday, to mark World Music Day. Students were challenged to bring their “sound” and play freely in the school space, throughout the 1st of October.
This initiative reached the secondary schools Manuel Teixeira Gomes, EB2,3 José Buisel and EB1 Major David Neto, but also the Major David Neto and Fojo kindergartens. In the latter cases, it was not the children who played, but their parents, who were given a similar challenge.
This is an initiative carried out within the scope of «Secondary Art», a project of the group's school libraries that aims to enhance artistic manifestations in the school context.
