beja airport_9Beja Airport will have cheaper aviation fuels, with the aim of increasing its competitiveness in relation to other airports. The measure follows an agreement between ANA Aeroportos and Galp Energia.

ANA Aeroportos considers that «the airport of Beja will thus have new conditions to offer operators, namely with regard to medium and long-term parking of aircraft, which also benefit from very competitive airport fees».

This reduction in the price of fuel at Beja Airport is, for the company, «another example of the effort and commitment that ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, SA, a company of the VINCI Airports Group, has been demonstrating in the development of that infrastructure, which it considers be strategic not only for the region, but also for the country».

Beja Airport continues to have difficulties in attracting airlines, situation that Pedro Passos Coelho assumed in an interview with the main Portuguese regional newspapers and, in which, the Sul Informação was represented.

The agreement, signed by Jorge Ponce de Leão, president of ANA and Tiago Câmara Pestana, Executive Director of Galp Energia, is valid for two years, and also covers the supply of road diesel to airports managed by ANA.
