The Grândola Service Area on the A2 – South Highway has a summer lounge dedicated to families traveling on holiday to the Algarve. The initiative, a partnership between Brisa – Autoestradas de Portugal and Lidl, has been running since yesterday, 31 July, and will continue until 27 August.
O summer lounge Its purpose is to encourage families on holiday to stop and rest, and also to improve the experience on the highway for Brisa customers.
O summer lounge it is located in the picnic area, in the Grândola service area, and has an area for children and another for adults, both protected by a tent to make the space fresh and comfortable.
In parallel, this space will promote “Surf Salva”, a project that results from the partnership between the Instituto de Socorros a Náufragos (ISN) and Lidl Portugal.
This initiative consists of providing the practitioners of nautical activities with knowledge that enable them to provide assistance, in the context of relief to shipwrecked and assistance to bathers.
After the success of the first edition, with more than 1.000 participants, this year's edition of “Surf Salva” will be extended to all vacationers.
