Patã Accident_1Three people died and one was injured in a head-on collision between two light vehicles on the EN125, which took place this Monday, at around 6 am, in the area between Patã and Boliqueime, in the municipality of Loulé.

The fatal victims, who were following a pink Audi TT that was completely destroyed, are a 20-year-old girl and two boys, 19 and 24, all Portuguese and residents in the Pera (Silves) and Poço Partido (Lagoa) area ).

The slightly injured person was transported to the Hospital of Faro and the mortal victims are, at this moment, being expelled.

The accident also involved a light vehicle for the transport of goods, which was heading towards Boliqueime/Patã and was caught by the other vehicle, which ran off on the curve, ending up colliding head-on.

According to the CDOS, the alert was given at 6:27 am and 24 operatives were dispatched to the site, supported by 11 vehicles, from different forces, namely the Fire Department of Loulé and Albufeira, INEM, GNR and Rotas do Algarve Litoral.

The accident did not force the EN125 to be cut, as only one of the two vehicles involved was occupying part of the carriageway.
