Lidl, in the year it celebrates 20 years in Portugal, continued its investment in the country with the improvement of several stores from the north to the south of the country, now reaching the Algarve region, with the renovations of the Loulé and Olhão stores.

In the last year alone, the brand has invested around 3.5 million euros in the Algarve region and currently employs more than 240 employees, contributing to the regional economy.

The Lidl store in Loulé opened its doors with a new image and a new self-service bakery service. These improvements to the store also made it possible to increase the number of employees to 17, promoting employment in the region. The Loulé store is located at Sítio da Costa – Rua Andrade Sousa.

The store in Olhão, which opens its doors today with a modernized image, will employ 19 employees and, in addition to the bakery service, a new store organization, with a more modern and appealing image, will also provide a cafeteria service. The Olhão store is located on the EN 125 in Pechão – Belmonte Baixo.

Lidl stores in the south of the country have adapted their offer and operation to better suit the upcoming holiday period, with extended opening hours between 8:00 am and 22:00 pm.

These stores also have the particularity of the car park being prepared with shades and parking reserved for motorhomes and bicycles.

To mark the moment, on the days of reopening, the stores had a series of activities and surprises available for their customers: barbecue and grilled sardines, between 11:00 and 14:00, as well as ice cream.

On the streets of Loulé and Olhão, the special Lidl Summer Vacation brochures were also distributed, to make the most of the season. Some of these activities extend over the weekend following the opening.
