Several stars of national football will gather at Estádio da Bela Vista, in Parchal, for a solidarity game on June 20, at 18:30 pm. Admission to the game “costs” a kilo of food, which will be distributed by Associação Mão Amiga de Lagoa.
Players, former players and coaches will participate in the initiative promoted by agent Pedro Faustino.
Among the athletes already confirmed are Beto (Seville), Wilson Eduardo (Den Haag/Sporting), Vasco Fernandes (Aris Salónica), Mica (Zawisza Bydgoszcz), Joãozinho (Astra Giurgiu), Nélson (Belenenses), David Caiado ( Metalist Kharkiv), Diogo Viana (Gil Vicente), Hugo Faria (Apollon Smyrnis), Helio Pinto (Legia Warsaw) and David Aganzo (Lugo).
Costinha, Maniche, Dimas, Rui Bento, Ricardo, Jorge Vidigal, Fernando Couto, Diamantino Miranda, Paulo Sérgio, Bruno Veríssimo, Rui Águas, Pedro Emanuel, Emílio Peixe and Manuel José no longer play football professionally, but will also participate in the initiative, such as Zezé Camarinha, Edmundo Vieira (ex-D'zrt and Mexilhoeira Grande player) and Pedro Luso.
