The University of Algarve and FNAC will organize a cycle of conversations to debate contemporary society. The first session is scheduled for May 22, at 18 pm, at FNAC Forum Algarve, in Faro, with the presence of Ana Drago.

This cycle of debates, «which aims to promote discussion on various current issues that affect the lives of all citizens», is organized by the degree course in Sociology at the University of Algarve, in partnership with the FNAC of Forum Algarve, in Faro.

The course director “believes that active citizenship is a strong contribution to the consolidation of democracy”.

The first debate will be dedicated to austerity policies and their relationship with social inequalities and will have as guest speaker Ana Drago, former member of the Left Bloc and one of the promoters of the Tempo de Advance movement.
