Order of EconomistsThe Algarve regional delegation from the Ordem dos Economistas will present the Guidelines for a Regional Economic Model, the result of a study prepared by a working group that brings together renowned Algarve economists, in a session that will take place this Wednesday, at the premises of the Order, in the Visualforma building, in Faro.

This is one of two initiatives scheduled for the same afternoon. The other, which precedes the presentation of the study's conclusions, is the signing of a protocol between the Algarve delegation of the OE and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve, and will take place at the UAlg Campus of Gambelas.

Both sessions will be chaired by the chairman of the General Assembly of the Order of Economists Francisco Murteira Nabo.

The signing of the cooperation agreement between the OE and UAlg is scheduled for 16 pm on the 20th. In addition to signing the protocol, Merit Scholarship Certificates will be delivered during the ceremony to Master's students at the Faculty of Economics.

From 18 pm onwards, the results of a study will be presented which «is intended to be an important contribution to help define the Guidelines for a Regional Economic Model». This work was carried out by seven economists from the region, namely Adriano Pimpão, Hélio Barros, João Calçada Correia, Paulo Rodrigues, José Leite Pereira, Francisco Severino and Francisco Mendonça Pinto. It will be one of these economists to present the result of the study.

After a period in which doubts will be clarified for those present, the session will be closed by Francisco Murteira Nabo.
