A man tried to stab a PSP agent last night in Olhão and ended up being arrested. The situation came when the police were called to the home of an elderly man, who was being threatened by his son, demanding money to buy drugs.
When the police arrived at the house of the 82-year-old, his 44-year-old son, when confronted with the complaint, attacked the police officer “without anything being foreseen” with a kitchen knife.
The police managed to dodge the attack and overpowered the assailant, who had five doses of cocaine with him that were seized.
The PSP District Command of Faro he also announced that he had arrested another man this morning, at 5:15 am, also in Olhão, for the crime of disobedience. Following a road inspection operation, the man refused to carry out the alcohol control.
For the same reason, a 4-year-old man who was riding a bicycle was also arrested in Lagos at 15:46 am. The cyclist also refused to take the alcohol test.
