ErasmusThe University of Algarve will have over 150 new international students studying in Faro during the second semester. The students, who arrive under cooperation programs and Erasmus+, come from 38 different countries, from neighboring Spain to faraway Malaysia, and are today officially welcomed on the “Welcome Day”.

The number of international students who arrived at the University of Algarve in the second semester increased 15% compared to last year. two of the main reasons that encourage foreign students to choose this institution to carry out their mobility program».

During today, new students will have the opportunity to get to know the University and the city that will host them in the coming months.

After the reception at the Amphitheater 1.5 of the Pedagogical Complex, in the Campus da Penha, at 14 pm where students are received by Ana Freitas, dean of the University of Algarve, and by Isabel Cavaco, coordinator of the International Relations and Mobility Office, students have presentations about the University, the city of Faro, the origin of the Portuguese language and the activities of the Academic Association.

The “Welcome day” ends with a visit to the historic center and the Municipal Museum of Faro.
