Paulo Gonçalves (Honda), who holds 2nd place in the overall standings, lost more than two minutes today to Spaniard Marc Coma (KTM), leader of the Dakar. Gonçalves finished the stage, which connected Calama (Chile) and Salta (Argentina), in 5th place, but Coma was 2nd.
