The water reservoirs in the municipality of Silves will be sanitized between January 26th and February 2nd. The initiative of the Municipality of Silves, which consists of washing and disinfecting these infrastructures that are part of the municipality's public supply system, aims to “maintain the quality of water for human consumption”.
The intervention may, in some cases, cause "constraints and failures in the supply of the locations served by the intervention reservoir". But the Chamber ensures that "all possible measures will be taken to minimize the effects that these actions may have on the water supply service."
The works take place between 8 am and 17 pm and have a defined schedule (see below). The detailed list of which locations are covered by each reservoir can be consulted here (in PDF).

February 02 – Lousas Valley and Cerro da Coxa
