Mediterranean DietThe 1st anniversary of the inscription of the Mediterranean Diet as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO will be celebrated on December 4th, in Tavira.

The commemorative session is scheduled for 16:30 pm at the Álvaro de Campos Municipal Library, and includes the presentation of the book “Mediterranean Diet – A millenary heritage for Humanity”, by Jorge Queiroz, by Professor João Guerreiro, former dean of the University of Algarve.

There will also be a performance by actor Vítor Correia and a Mediterranean cocktail party.
Between 18:30 pm and 19:30 pm, a concert by the Academy of Music of Tavira will take place at the Ermida de São Sebastião, which is located right in front of the Library.
