The mixed choir «Orfeão de Viseu» will star in the traditional Christmas concert, which the Câmara de Olhão offers to the population during this festive season.
The show is scheduled for December 20, next Saturday, at 21 pm, at Igreja Matriz.
The more than 50 members of this mixed choir will interpret the eternal Christmas classics, from traditional Portuguese songs, as well as some European and those that are timeless worldwide, under the direction of Maestro Vicente Figueiredo, artistic responsible for this musical formation since 1995.
«The Mother Church of Olhão, emblematic monument and possessing unique acoustic conditions for this type of concerts, welcomes this 85-year-old orpheon who is visiting the city of Olhão for the first time», illustrated the municipality.
The Christmas concert will be used by the Mayor António Pina to address his Christmas message and good wishes to the population, «who are expected to fill the Igreja Matriz, as usual».
