The Christmas holidays are once again synonymous with learning, playing, in another edition of the «Christmas Holidays with Science» initiative of the Lagos Living Science Centre. From tomorrow, Wednesday, until January 2nd, there will be workshops on a wide range of topics, aimed at children from 6 to 12 years old, every weekday.
Thus, there are nine days of activities, namely 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 26, 29 and 30 December 2014 and 2 January 2015. Every day there are two workshops, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, which take place, respectively, between 10 am and 13 pm and 14 pm and 17 pm.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, the initiative is launched with workshops on the themes "Secret Codes of Father Christmas" and "Golden Christmas", in the morning and in the afternoon, respectively.
On Thursday, the proposals are the workshops «Trigonometry of the Christmas Tree» (morning) and Geometric Embellishments (afternoon) and, on Friday, the «Chemistry in the Bath» and the «Father Christmas Kitchen !».
The Christmas week begins with workshops "Electroconductor Christmas Postcard" and "Christmas Figures in Circuit" on Monday 22, followed by workshops "Insetos do Nosso Jardim" and "O Natal dos Insects". After a break for Christmas and before the weekend, there is still time for the activities «Burst of Colors» and Science Calendar» on the 23th.
On December 29th and 30th, the “What is Light?” workshops will be promoted, respectively. and «Discover the Stars!», and «The Heart…» and «…and the Bottle (a science story)». The cycle of workshops closes on January 2, 2015, with the activities “Winter Crystals” and “Crystal Cake”.
As usual, prices per session vary, depending on the amount of activities you want to participate in. For an isolated session (morning or afternoon), the price is 5 euros. Three sessions cost 14 euros, six cost 25 euros and nine cost 37 euros. For a full day, the price is 9 euros, with three costing 26 euros, six days at 45 euros and nine at 70 euros. Lunch is not included in the price and will have to be taken by the participants, who can eat in the center.
