The liquidation of PAEL – Support Program for the Local Economy, until the end of this year, is the main novelty of the Municipal Budget of Loulé for 2015, approved by majority, in an ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly, on Thursday night.
This Budget will have a Global Revenue and Expenditure in the amount of 101.991.483,70 euros and will be marked by the settlement of the PAEL, which will allow «to alleviate the tax burden of Loulé families», through the reduction of IMI and IRS.
The Budget will also allow “some investments in key areas for the municipality's development”, stresses the municipality.
In the Great Options of the Plan for the coming year, the support to families in the areas of social intervention and education stands out.
But municipal funds will also be channeled to Culture and large works, whether in the area of new equipment, the road network, but also in the maintenance of existing infrastructure.
The reduction in transfers from the State Budget of 8,3% compared to 2013 of 760.000 euros and the imposition of joining the Municipal Support Fund, which will mean a total charge of 4,2 million euros for the Municipality of Loulé, corresponding to 610.000 euros in 2015, will be the main constraints on the Budget that had already been approved by the Loulé City Council, on 29 October.
Municipal deputies praised the “rigor and transparency” of the document presented by the municipal executive.
