Almost five thousand people joined the challenge of the Chamber of Faro to leave home for physical activity, between the 19th and 21st of September. The event "Faro Ativo» provided several sports initiatives, in different places in the county, with 40 entities from Faro demonstrating what they have to offer.
The action was divided between Figures Leisure Park, the Nautical Center of Praia de Faro, the Penha Municipal Football Field, the Penha Municipal Sports Pavilion and the D. Afonso III Municipal Pavilion. 4992 sport practitioners passed through these spaces, in addition to the approximately 7500 people who attended the initiatives.
Aikido, athletics, basketball, bocce, boot camp, educational boxing, mountain biking, capoeira, horseback riding, climbing, acting gymnastics, hip-hop, judo, jujutsu, karate, kickboxing, marching and running, mini-football, padel, tail, rugby, spinning, tai-chi chuan, archery, trampolines, functional training, volleyball, chess, yoga and zumba were some of the modalities in focus in the open space of Parque de Lazer das Figuras.
There was also another session of the «Races at 6th», various futsal and football tournaments, a walk and the 4th «Marathon BTT / Trail Cidade de Faro", among others.
