ErasmusWelcoming and integrating students in international mobility is the main objective of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Algarve, which was unanimously approved at the end of July in Braga, thus integrating ESN's international platform.

This network, present in 37 European countries, has more than 450 active sections, with ESN Algarve being the tenth one in Portugal.

“Receiving these colleagues as we ourselves would like to be received in similar situations” is the motto of the direction, led by Simão Costa, a Radiology student, who has also experienced international mobility.

Composed exclusively of students, and non-profit, ESN Algarve has the support of the International Relations and Mobility Office of UAlg, with which it collaborates in the reception of students, monitoring them throughout their journey at the University of Algarve.

International students who choose the University of the Algarve now have an Association that will provide them with support at various levels, from reception at the airport, the search for accommodation, to their integration in the University itself, in the city and in the region. , through guided tours and the promotion of cultural events.

The Orientation Week is already scheduled for September, where around 400 students from more than 60 nationalities will be received, with the participation of ESN Algarve.

The initiatives that have been promoted by ESN Algarve as a candidate section have earned it a vote of confidence from the national structure, having been assigned the organization of the next national meeting of ESN, which will take place at the end of September, in the Algarve, and which will have the participation of all local Portuguese structures
