Next Friday will be dedicated to Jazz again, at Teatro Lethes. Rita Maria and Paula Sousa will join the stage in the emblematic concert hall of Faro, from 21 pm, to present «a show full of surprises», within the scope of the «Uma Friday de Jazz» initiative, promoted by the association Grémio das Músicas.
«The two artists, both with an extensive musical career, are on stage for a show that promises to captivate the audience. With a repertoire of original themes and by other authors such as Edu Lobo and Kenny Wheeler. Rita's brilliant and versatile voice, combined with Paula's exquisite and poetic approach to the piano, materialize a unique musical imagery, which stays in the ear and melts the listener's heart», describes the association from Farense.
The artists have recently launched themselves on the record market. Rita Maria recently released the album «Míope eo Arco-Íris», in collaboration with guitarist Afonso Pais (Sintoma Records), while Paula Sousa released, at the end of 2013, the album «Cine Qua Non» (Toap Music) , together with the collective with the same name as the album, which brings together, in addition to the album itself, João Paulo Esteves da Silva, Afonso Pais and Mário Franco.
