The consumer protection association DECO has opened entries for the competition "Ecocidadão Webseries", an initiative that invites students from the 3rd cycle, secondary and professional training in public and private education, from all over the country, to develop a series of videos online (webseries) «original and creative on Sustainability and efficient use of resources, from a European perspective».

These works should have "as their main objective to encourage citizens to adopt environmentally friendly attitudes", announced the association, which conceived and promotes this competition of the Jacques Delors European Information Center (CIEJD, as an EC Intermediary Agency). The contest winners receive air travel to Copenhagen, the European city that won the 2014 Green Capital of Europe Award.

Will be accepted to the contest, webseries that address the issue of sustainability and efficient use of resources from a European perspective and, in particular, issues such as water, energy, mobility, waste, food and purchases.

Within the scope of this competition, there is also a strand for university education, in which the webquests [internet-oriented research challenge] on the same topic. In the case of webquests Participation and registration in the contest is done at an individual level, and several students from the same educational establishment may participate, each student with one or more webquests.
