The Pátio de Letras space, in Faro, will take advantage of the return of the sun and the good weather to carry out two initiatives on its terrace. On Friday, there is a new edition of the lectures «Saúde e Bem Estar», while on Saturday the writer João Luís Gonçalves will present his new book «Deus Me Faz Feliz».
The lecture «Health and Wellness», whose theme is «Nutrition and Sport», starts at 18 pm on Friday and will be hosted by nutritionist Cláudia Santos and dietitian Nídia Rodrigues. This is a joint initiative of Pátio de Letras and Helena Pharmacy, from Faro.
On Saturday, João Luís Gonçalves will be on the terrace of the Pátio for an informal conversation with the public around his new book. The work contains tales and legends of fishermen from Calhau da Lapa, a small southern port of Madeira, where the author's grandfather was a fisherman and caulker.
João Luís Gonçalves was born in Madeira and has published a variety of works in the fields of essays and fiction. He is a Public Prosecutor, having held functions for several years in Faro and currently works in Loulé.
