The 35th FATACIL – Lagoa Handicraft, Tourism, Agriculture, Trade and Industry Fair (Algarve), which will take place from 15 to 24 August next year, will lower entry prices for visitors and create incentives to attract companies and artisans, announced Fatasul, the association responsible for the organization.

Thus, the individual entry ticket will cost 3,50 euros and the family ticket for four people 12,50 euros, thus lowering the 5 and 15 euros that were charged in the last three years.

On the other hand, to «encourage a greater participation of companies in the municipality of Lagoa», two exhibition areas will be created in the Commercial/Industrial Sector of FATACIL, «at more advantageous prices».

One of these areas is intended for the «representation of reference Hotel Units» and the other for companies from different fields of activity working in the municipality.

"This measure reinforces the importance of FATACIL in the integrated development strategy of the municipality of Lagoa", stresses Fatasul's management.

As for the artisans, who were once one of FATACIL's strongest and most reference sectors, to reinforce the quality of the Crafts Sector, incentives were created «very attractive for a dozen traditional artisans who work live over the 10 days duration of the fair».

Fatasul even admits that, "eventually the number of supported artisans may increase if the direction manages to bring together institutional or private partners available to sponsor them."

A 10% reduction was also approved for most stands in the Craft Sector.

Fatasul's management says he believes that "the most important event in the Algarve region has sufficient scale and critical mass, in number of exhibitors and visitors, to provide new opportunities and stimulating synergies that contribute to overcoming the difficult challenges imposed by the current economic situation." Hence the approval of the set of announced incentives, which will allow “a significant increase in the number of visitors and companies”.

The organization of the event has "other objectives and strategies" in preparation, which it will announce in due course.
