The Coop store in Aljustrel reopens to the public this Thursday, the 21st, while the Pinhal Novo store (next to the train station) opens a week later, on the 28th of November, thus raising the recovered jobs to 53, he announced. to Pluricoop.

With these reopenings, the number of stores with the Coop brand operating under Pluricoop management rises to 13.

The Aljustrel store, owned by Cooperativa Proletário Alentejano, from Beja, under the existing lending contract, anticipates its viability, which will continue with the beginning of the execution of the recovery plan soon.

This is a tripartite agreement, creating the conditions for the purchasing center of the cooperative consumer movement, CoopLisboa, to ensure the profitability of a distribution route here.

«We were thus able to supply fresh fish from the Setúbal fish market, with the quality and regularity that consumers in Montes Velhos, Aljustrel and Beja deserve, while also ensuring better prices. We have also reinforced the offer of fresh products in this area, particularly in horticultural products, and we have reintroduced the section of feed, fertilizers and seeds», adds Pluricoop in a press release.

With the Pinhal Novo store, next to the train station, the brand reinforces its offer to consumers in the Setúbal Peninsula. «This is yet another store deeply inserted in the community, whose reopening improves the offer of proximity in supplying populations, rebalancing the supply of basic necessities, at a fair price, with a diversified offer to satisfy their needs».

Meanwhile, the reopening of the Cova da Piedade, Moita, Alhos Vedros, Grândola and Lavradio stores is in preparation.

«Despite the delays in the materialization of the approved financings, we are not letting go and, with rigor and hard work, we are going to rebuild the future».

Finally, Pluricoop appeals “to all members, workers and friends of the Cooperatives to visit its stores, actively involving themselves in this effort of common interest for the recovery of their Cooperative. In these moments of greater social and economic difficulty, the principles of Cooperation are fundamental values».
