The PSD's «Days of Consolidation, Growth and Cohesion» will once again pass in Faro, tomorrow, Tuesday, with the objective of «debating and explaining the main measures of the State Budget for 2014». Club Farense, on Rua de santo António, was the place chosen to host the initiative, at 21 pm.

This is the third consecutive year that Social Democrats have held these "decentralized conferences" throughout the country.

Deputy Minister for Regional Development Miguel Poiares Maduro, Vice President of the PSD and Deputy of the Assembly of the Republic Teresa Leal Coelho, Deputy of the Assembly of the Republic José Mendes Bota and the President of the District Political Commission of Faro Luís Gomes, will be the participants in this meeting

«After the debate in the Assembly of the Republic on the 2014 State Budget document, which foresees a clear commitment to economic growth and recovery, the PSD broadens the basis for debate and reflection around this instrument. Listening to activists, supporters and citizens who want to better understand the spirit of these main measures of the OE for the next year is the main objective of this session», announced the PSD.

In February 2013, the coming of these days to Faro was marked by protests by a small group of citizens, who sang "Grândola Vila Morena" – at the time, a novelty – to the two secretaries of State who traveled to the Algarve, so the session ended up limited to “guests”, all of them social-democrat activists and sympathizers.

The debate also ended up not taking place, as the members of the Government ended up not answering the questions asked., after the interventions of the guest speakers, due to an alleged lack of time.
