The Paula Rocha Quartet will be at Teatro Lethes, in Faro, on November 1st, at 21 pm, to stage another session of the initiative «Uma Friday de Jazz».

Until the end of the year, it will continue to invest in «Jazz no Feminine», the cycle that the association Grémio das Músicas, which organizes this monthly event, has planned for the fourth quarter of 2013.

«As this is a predominantly male gender, in which women have stood out mainly as singers, true voice divas, the cycle “Jazz no Feminine” aims to promote projects in which the female is represented in other roles», explained the association farense.

Born in Porto, pianist Paula Rocha began her training at the Music School of the National Conservatory, having also attended several workshops at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. He has developed compositional works for theatre, animation, short films and dance. Based in the Algarve, the quartet that leads part of the jazz roots in search of a musical universe of its own.

On stage, Paula Rocha (Piano and Melodica) will have to accompany her Louis Leger (Sax Soprano), Paulo “Strak” (Bass) and Michel Monier (Drums). Admission to the concert costs 8 euros.
